Rules & Regulations

Gun Safety: All Safety precautions relating to proper use of firearms and grounds use will be STRICTLY enforced!

  • Hunting of wild game of any kind is prohibited.
  • Due caution and extreme safety measures must be practiced at all times by anyone possessing a firearm, or in the vicinity of those who are or might be shooting either live or blank ammunition.
  • Anyone carrying a shotgun into the field must possess a valid California hunting license.
  • Only shotguns are allowed. No rifles or handguns are permitted (blank pistols excepted).
  • All shooting must be done in a predetermined area and direction with ample buffer for shot fall.
  • Shot size is limited to 7 1/2's maximum.
  • Empty shell cases must be picked up and removed from all field and pond areas where shooting is permitted.
  • Courtesy, common sense and awareness are all crucial to the continued enjoyment of these grounds for dog training and exercising of your dogs. Any person not adhering strictly to the above rules and regulations is subject to permanent loss of ground privileges. Your utmost cooperation in these matters is appreciated and critical to the safety and well being of yourself and others in the area.

  • Upon entering grounds check in at the kennel office and purchase a ticket for your vehicle before airing or training your dog.
  • When in a group training session please do not park on both sides of any road. Use one side only so as not to block the flow of traffic.
  • Do not set up any test that would have your dog crossing a road!
  • Please be courteous and polite to others using the grounds. Due to the distances involved in dog training and the variations in terrain others often may not immediately recognize your training set up.
  • Conversely, please be alert to others working their dogs. Try not to interfere with training or tests in an area.
  • Training areas are chosen on a first come, first served basis unless reserved for a major scheduled event.
  • Although we offer a huge area for dog training there are times, particularly prior to a major test, where the grounds will seem crowded. Dogs can't work non-stop. They need rest breaks. Please allow sharing of your training area with others working similar scenarios. You may even find great training partners.
  • Please remove all markers or ribbons after completing your work.
  • Never park or drive any vehicles in the fields.

Thank you!
